Mode to access to services:

• First Check ORL or examination, in accordance with the calendar CUP: booking at CUP with the request of the doctor in charge
• Phoniatric check, first check or examination: booking at CUP with the request of the doctor in charge
• Audiometric tests , impedenzometrici , vestibular , fibrolaringoscopy: booking at CUP before checking with physical examination and prescription of the specialist ORL of the structure with the request of the doctor in charge.
• For the speech therapy rehabilitation: only with a diagnosis and prescription of a Specialist ORL of the structure and with the request of the doctor in charge agreeing on the appointment frequency of treatment with Speech Therapy Service
• Priority  ORL Examination: programmed  exclusively from the surgery ORL at the request of the doctor in charge
• Counseling for inpatients: programmed  exclusively from the surgery ORL
• Urgent Performance: unless requested to medical first aid or other operational units of the hospital
• Post-operative check: programmed exclusively from the surgery ORL, for patients undergoing surgery in the U.O.C. ORL of  Matera
• Preoperative in Pre-admission Examination and Day Service: programmed  exclusively from the surgery  ORL, only entering in the waiting list by the Otorhinolaryngologist Specialist of  the U.O.C.
• Examination for obstructive sleep apnea , programmed  exclusively from the surgery ORL
• Examination of Children’s Audiology: programmed  exclusively from the surgery ORL
• Admissions for surgery: it leads to the department at the end of pre-admission path with the date previously agreed with the user 
• Emergency Admission: carried out by the general pratictioner of P.S. only after Otorhinolaryngoiatric specialist advice
  - NB the urgency criterion of the examinations reflects the “Priority Classes” of the access to specialist examinations estabilished by the Region Basilicata; Or for the direct access directed by the otolaryngologist doctor of the surgery  or the ward of the U.O.C. ORL
•  Stay in Hospital Ward
  Ordinary Admissions are made only on the advice of a Specialist ORL of the U.O.C. or from the doctor of P.S. after ENT evaluation.The access to operations in Day Hospital\Day Surgery takes place after surgeon ENT examination and insertion on the waiting list. It performs minor surgery under local anesthesia which allow the discharge of the patient in the same admission day.The Day Hospital is located on the ground “0” (corridor of access to  ENT – ophthalmology - Urology pre-admissions).
• Day Service
  It performs diagnostic and therapeutic activity in cases of minor ORL illness (minor surgery), auditory (sudden deafness) vestibular (Paroxysmal Vertigo) or that do not provide a hospitalization.It can come only on the specialist book ORL of the U.O.C. of Matera. The Otorhinolaryngologist of the U.O.C. after finding the relevant disease during the specialistic examination draws up a request sheet and the relative inpatient or Day Service.
